Ward K. Branch

Ward Branch's practice focuses on class actions and insurance. He is the author of the textbook Class Actions in Canada, which has been cited with approval by the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as other courts.
He is included in The Best Lawyers in Canada guide as one of the country's top "Bet the Company", insurance, and class action litigators. He is also listed in Lexpert as a leading cross-border litigation counsel.
He was counsel in the first class action cases to come before the B.C. Supreme Court and B.C. Court of Appeal. He has been retained in over one hundred class actions in Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, Alberta and B.C. He has acted both for and against the Governments of British Columbia, Alberta and Canada in class actions. He has been counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada on class action and insurance issues.
