Harjinder Lally

Harjinder joined Branch MacMaster LLP in 2025 as an articling student and was invited back to the firm as an associate in 2026. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, class actions, insurance defence, and health law matters. She enjoys representing insurers in a range of defence matters, as well as healthcare professionals in regulatory and civil litigation proceedings. Her class actions practice includes work on both the plaintiff and defence sides.

While earning her JD at Osgoode Hall Law School, Harjinder was actively involved in extracurricular and academic initiatives. She participated in the 2024 Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Law Moot, a national negotiation-focused moot, and served as a student editor for the inaugural 2025 issue of the Comparative Labor Law & Policy Journal at Osgoode Hall. During law school, Harjinder volunteered her time with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act Alliance, where she conducted research into accessibility issues faced by people with disabilities and made recommendations for legislative changes. Before joining Branch MacMaster LLP, she also gained research experience in constitutional and administrative law and worked as a summer student at ICBC, where she further developed her litigation skills. During her time at Osgoode Hall, she acted as a student ambassador and provided mentorship to incoming law students. She also earned a certificate in alternative dispute resolution and completed the Tax Law curricular stream during her JD.

Before attending law school, Harjinder built significant experience managing and adjudicating complex disability claims while working at a national disability management firm. 

Outside of work, Harjinder enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, and travelling. 

She is also fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.
