Nova Scotia Immigration Fees

A lawsuit was started against the Province of Nova Scotia in 2009 regarding fees paid to the former Economic Stream of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program. The Supreme Court of Nova Scotia approved a settlement as fair and reasonable on September 26th, 2011. Under the settlement, class members who were not paid anything under a business mentorship, they received $63,750 back ($75,000 minus an approved 15% fee of $11,250). Class members who were paid under a business mentorship had the amount paid deducted from $75,000.

The time to make a claim in this action expired in May 2012.
